About

We are two friends, sister’s in Christ, who have a passion for orphans and sewing.  (among other things!)  So it just made sense to combine the two into JHAM Kids.  Joint Heirs Adoption Ministry (JHAM) was our first endeavor and we continue to advocate for the orphan through awareness and assistance to other families in the adoption process.  JHAM Kids seemed like the logical name for a clothing line to raise funds for orphans and adoption.
James 1:27 ~ Pure religion that God the Father accepts as pure and faultless is this,  to look after orphans and widows  in their distress and keep oneself  from being polluted by the world.
This became our motto and you will find the J127 logo and tags on your boutique items from JHAM Kids.  When people ask what the J127 stands for it is our hope that you will share the message of our mission and God’s command to care for others.  That it may encourage more people to step out in faith, join the movement, and there might be one less orphan somewhere in the world.
We’re just in the baby stages of our boutique business and have the hope that it will take off like wildfire and we will barely be able to keep up with the demand!  We both love sewing so much that we make a lot of things for our own kids and assist designers in the testing stages of their creations as well.
Joy and her husband Jack are so passionate about caring for orphans they have adopted two daughters from China who are definitely the princess crew of the family!  With a house full of boys their life called for a little pink, sparkle, and tutus.  Well, it was a welcome addition anyway.  Their brother Jory might think otherwise.  ;)  lol You can read more about their family life on her blog Journey to Jia.  They will put to rest your fears of considering ‘special needs’ adoption, and you might find yourself falling in love with CHINA!  Following along on their adoption journeys through Joy’s blog was so exciting!
Renea and her husband Eric have traveled to Haiti on missions.  Their daughter also went on the first trip to this beautiful country that stakes it’s claim to fame by being the poorest nation in the western hemisphere.  Their hearts were changed forever by the people and the work they were able to help do while there.  Hopeful to adopt from Haiti one day, Renea keeps close ties with the friends and partners involved in the mission work they do there.  As well as keeping in contact with the boys that call her mom through sponsorship and friendships.  One young man named David stole their hearts on their last trip and has now become a ‘permanent’ part of their family (if only in all of their minds and hearts) as David calls them mom and dad and is always inquiring as to what his brothers and sister are doing.  They exchange gifts and messages regularly and look forward to returning to Haiti very soon!  With Joy in tow!  ;)
Renea and Joy look forward to serving on the mission field together! They truly have a passion and desire for following The Lord!
